The global health crisis caused by Covid-19 pandemic affected vertically the training industry. Within few weeks all training institutes were forced to shift to e-learning courses so as to avoid cessation of their activities. Both instructors and students had to adapt to these new conditions, arising in the new era of distance learning. Apart from schools, foreign-language training centers are also numbered among the educational institutes, having an important place in the education industry of Greek society.
The present study intends to investigate the crisis management plan applied by a European foreign-language training center aiming to avoid ceasing its operations by carrying out lessons online. This study reveals that proper communication and correct orientation of all parties concerned, contribute to the best possible decision making for the common good of both the educational institute and its students. Team spirit is equally important to staff’s adaptability to the new adverse conditions that may arise.
