Τhe present project concerns the development of an application that operates in android environment, under the support of GoogleMaps, Google speech to text and text to speech applications and aims at the disabled users΄autonomous life. First of all, the principles that govern the Technology-Dissability relationship are presented.Technology facilitates the life of people with disabilities, restoring accessibility. With regard to the Law Regulation of Technology, it is necessary to ensure that using technology serves human rights, aiming to bridge the digital gap between the general population and people with disabilities. The analysis of the target group of this project follows, i.e. people with partial or total vision loss, as well as other disabled people, who face similar difficulties and may benefit from the same technological applications. At this point, it is highlighted that the severity of the disability depends on the existence or non-existence of adaptations to the living environment. Due to this reason, individual and reasonable adjustments are made, and various technical aids are produced for the disabled people that improve their functional abilities. The assistive and adaptive technologies are special aids that have been developed for people with partial or total vision loss. Following, a reference is made to the Global Positioning System( GPS) as well as in commercial or research applications for navigation on mobile devices for the visually impaired or blind. Finally, the based on the Model-View-View Model architecture application code is analyzed. It consists of 3 activities which implement the basic functionalities, while the implementation of the most important functionalities is done in respective View Models. It starts with a Main Activity and waits until it hears the word navigation. Then it proceeds to the Navigation Activity, where it asks the user "where he would like to go". Until the user gives a valid address and confirms that this is the address where he would like to go, the steps of the process are repeated. In the future, the relevant application may cover additional tasks and, in cooperation with GPS, it can be an independent application in android
smartphones or in an independent navigation device for people with limited or no vision and other groups who face similar difficulties.
