Android is one of the most popular and secure mobile operating systems. However, the security problems can still appear, if we do not carefully consider security during mobile application development. Data storage, proper use of cryptography and secure network communication are some of these considerations.
According to the above, this thesis analyzes the Android Operating System and its structure and then it presents some penetration testing tools in order to compare and evaluate them. For this purpose, I examine a vulnerable Android application, known as InsecureBankv2. Afterwards, there is a conclusion regarding the results of each tool and the respective vulnerabilities.
