In the center of the Open Science movement is the simple and powerful notion that world’s knowledge is a public good and that technology in general and the World Wide Web in particular provide a great opportunity for everyone to share, use and reuse this knowledge. The material, which enriches open educational repositories, provides users with intellectual capital, which can help them understand and use all of the web content.
In conditions of an epidemy and restriction, teaching profession faced unprecedented challenges, where it had correspond immediately. Teachers had to develop instructional material for immediate use by a wide range of students. Under these conditions the value of openness to access and science was obvious. But how many teachers know the specific context and how many have already embraced its principles.
The present work seeks through the implementation of a quantitative research to clarify whether teachers are aware of the field of open science and open access and whether attending an educational program can effectively contribute to changing their attitude. According to the results of the research, the knowledge of the concepts is also a motivation for the application of the principles of open science.
