In the context of this work, we have focused on the concept of Brokering Services evolving in parallel with the rapid penetration of technology and therefore our lives. Initially, the basics of the Internet of Things (IoT) are presented, as well as a series of applications. In particular, inthe first chapter of the paper we deal very briefly with the technology of the Internet of Things (IoT: Internet of Things). A more in-depth analysis of this technology is carried out in the second chapter of the paper, which presents some IoT applications such as its contribution to Social Media and its use through the XMPP protocol that supports two-way communication between nodes. At the same time, in the second chapter, an attempt is made to combine the Cloud Service with the internet of things and forthis reason a series of implementations are presented that carry out the specific combination.In the third chapter, the paper specializes in Brokering Services, which are among the various services of the Internet of Things. In particular, the mediation policies and the executive functions of the mediation services are presented. At the same time, extensive reference is made to the business models of Cloud Computing and the Management of Intermediary Servers in distributed environments. The last chapter of the paper draws some conclusions from the above analysis and study of the literature.
