Globalization is a link between markets, offering multiple benefits to consumers and increasing business competitiveness. Apart from business, however, globalization is also the result of increasing competitiveness among countries in terms of attracting investors. It is now common for countries to shape their policies in such a way that they develop their competitive advantages and become stronger on the global investment charter. Tourism is one of the world's most powerful industries and can make a decisive contribution to the flow of capital to a country and the growth of its economy. International investment in tourism is increasing year by year, pointing to the industry's potential and mobility. Greece, as a tourist destination, has been on the rise for the last decade, even in times of economic crisis, proving that this sector may be the "key" that will lead to growth, strengthening and stabilizing its economy. Is it easy, however, for a business to invest in tourism sector in Greece? What are the factors determining this decision? What are the strong assets of Greece and what arethe "obstacles", which prevents foreign investment flows from entering the country?
