The current thesis is related to the way the social media marketing is related to the business operation. This reference arises due to the importance of the social media on the modern lifestyle.
Marketing function is one of the most important in business level, as it is related to attraction and reach of new customers. Furthermore, in modern digital age, promotional activities through Internet are becoming more essential for a company. Significant factors in this direction are various social media that have been developed, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Linkedin.
The main benefits of social media marketing are the development of more ways of direct communication with potential and existing customers and the enhancement of company’s promotion at the least possible cost. Despite these benefits, Greek companies don’t use so much the social media, such as American and European companies. This happens due to the fact that Greek companies have weaknesses in integrating online and social media methods of promotion and communication. However, Greek companies have to adopt social media marketing practices immediately and integrate them into their operation to respond more effectively to the demands of the modern digital age.
