This thesis deals with the subject of estimation in modern passive sonar systems.
In the first chapter we give introductory information and summarize the direction of arrival (DOA) principles of modern passive sonar systems.
In the second chapter we analyze the theoretical background of direction of arrival estimation model and present the most widespread and popular DoA algorithms.
Finally, in the third chapter we make a comparison between the above-mentioned algorithms based on the results of Matlab simulation. The code used for the simulations is given at the end of this thesis.
