The present project is being developed in the framework of diplomatic work for the postgraduate Logistics Management of the University of Piraeus. Headlined: "e-shop creation procedures and practices".
In recent years, the internet has invaded dynamically in our lives, and even more in all our professional activities. Companies are trying to evolve rapidly, adapting to the trend of the era, which requires the use of e-commerce for commercial transactions
E-commerce enables them to choose from a wide range of business and technology choices, the combination with which they can maximize their profitability at the lowest possible cost. Entrepreneurs interested in investing in new business should acquire the relevant know-how so that there is no "technophobia", but there is the necessary knowledge to make the most of the technological potential to boost entrepreneurship and achieve e-commerce. Those who make the right strategic choices by incorporating new technologies into their practices are the ones who will survive in the increasingly demanding business reality.
This project is structured in 7 chapters, which are summarized below:
The first chapter includes introductory concepts on the internet and e-commerce. There is a brief reference to the categories of e-commerce as well as its advantages and disadvantages.
The second chapter contains the types of electronic payments. The main risks of electronic transactions and some ways of users precaution.
The third chapter presents both global and national statistics for a more complete picture of the scope of e-commerce
The fourth chapter introduces the main subject of the project and focuses on the institutional framework conditioning the creation of an e-shop.
The fifth chapter describes the online store (hereinafter: e-shop) of a pharmaceutical company still in pilot level and essentially a B2B customer service platform.
The sixth chapter analyzes internet marketing methods for a successful and therefore profitable e-shop.
Finally, the seventh chapter contains the conclusions
