The objective of this dissertation is the construction of a webpage that is related to foreign food in Athens. In the first chapter, we analyze the main pages that provide similar services both in Athens and abroad. These are Foursquare, TripAdvisor, Ask4Food, Yelp and LikeALocalGuide. We analyze extensively their services and their functionalities. In the next chapter, we present the basic choices than exist in regard with the design of a webpage. We focus on the Content Management Systems and we analyze what they are, what they provide and which are the basic ones that are available in the market. We explain why we choose Drupal over Wordpress and Joomla and we present its advantages and disadvantages along with the basics of its functionality. We also list the other basic technologies that can be used such as XAMPP, PHP, Apache, phpMyAdmin and MySQL. In the last chapter we list all the functionalities that we would like to add to our webpage, while we present some examples from the existing pages.
