Τhe utilization of internet technologies for the education of employees, constitutes an innovative way of teaching.
In this essay, we will use Moodle for the education of banking employees in crises management, using role playing technique.
Role playing constitutes a teaching technique that combines the active participation with the experiential learning, during an educational activity that represents a real situation. Participants are encouraged to be involved in the learning process, expressing their opinion in a safe scientific environment, and to construct knowledge through abstract and complex conceptions of science. (Κανίδης, 2005).
In this essay, we will compare the method of education of employees that is already used in the Bank, with the new educational approach that we propose, evaluating the participants’ accomplishment through questionnaires that were supplemented before and after the completion of the educational procedure.
At the same time we will evaluate Moodle as for usability. For the usability evaluation, we included SUS questionnaire.
The results of our research show that
- the participants improved their skills after the completion of the educational procedure and
- Moodle is an effective environment for the achievement of course goals.
Additionally, Moodle constitutes an efficient approach for educating Banking employees, since it is a functional and efficient system which causes positive reactions to the participants.
