This dissertation is part of the postgraduate Economics and Management of Health program in University of Piraeus. Then main objective is the role of the human resources management in the field of employee training and its impact on the prevention of labor accidents. The main part of the thesis consists of the analysis of labor accidentswhich aims to help on the implementation of health and safety rules in the heavy industry. The survey was conducted in the author’s workplace and its’ aim was to identify the origins of labor accidents and how the training which is provided from company contributes to the prevention and elimination of them. The sample of survey consisted of employees in the production part of company. In conclusion from the distributed questionnaires’ results weunderstand that companies should provide more training to their employees in order to succeed better compliance of the safety regulations and to avoid labor accidents.
