This thesis concerns the Social Insurance in Greece in the period of the Memorandum. The approach to the main theme is through the analysis of the principal laws relating to Social Security and voted and followed the period of the Memorandum. These laws show the main factors related to Social Security, in all sectors (pension, salary, benefits), as well as any other changes resulted in a wider piece of insurance. All financial and insurance data presented at work, judged by those prevailing before the memorandum. The comparison is made with data obtained from studies in the last decade. In the first part of the paper presents a brief history of Social Security from antiquity to today. A brief reference to states significantly affected the course of the Social Security since its birth as our days. Then we present the Social Insurance in Greece, with all the changes, interventions and reforms that have accrued from the beginning and as the cusp of the Memorandum. In the second part of the thesis develops and the key piece diplomatic. Initially, all the changes that have occurred in Greece from the moment we walked in the IMF in the wider economic and developmental axis and then changes affecting Social Security. Featured detail all laws by the authority having as central to the changes and reforms in Social Security, as well as statistical and financial data that have emerged from the early years of the entry into the IMF.
