Students need attractive and interactive media and tools, so that their involvement with New Technologies to be an interesting process. Educational digital games encourage the development of logic, skills and knowledge in a pleasant way. The objective of this thesis concerns the implementation of educational games with the visual programming tool, Kodu. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the creation of educational digital games with Kodu can introduce students to programming, to familiarize them with basic skills and functions of computers and to promote the interdisciplinary. Also, teachers can create educational games, scenarios and interactive activities that can be implemented in the classroom. Analytically, we present the general philosophy of the visual programming tool Kodu, its environment, its use in the educational process and more specifically in the course of computer science and teaching programming. In addition, training material for teachers will be presented and the description of the website, that was created to better support them. Finally, we analyze the data generated by the case study conducted on the involvement of students in sixth grade elementary school in the course “Computer Science”, using the tool Kodu and the conclusions drawn from the assessment.
