Ενώσεις και φορείς που δραστηριοποιούνται στο χώρο των ναυτασφαλίσεων (δομή, δραστηριότητα και σημασία τους για τις ναυτασφαλίσεις)
This work aims to study insurance in maritime transport. The shipping industry is traditionally perhaps the most competitive trade and transport sector. By its nature as a branch, it historically always accepted the smallest government intervention at the level of regulation and control, and as a result a wider network of associations, operators and acting subjects was developed, interacting with the regulatory framework of the industry. This work consists of three chapters: the first chapter gives a brief overview of the maritime trade and transport sector, the second chapter develops the most important concepts of maritime insurance in order to understand the development that will take place around the issue, in the third chapter are developed institutions who nationally and internationally are involved in the science of the insurance. Finally, the conclusions and bibliography follow. It is clear from the bibliographic overview that has been made about the subject that both now and in the past, the field of maritime insurance is the activity of a number of factors who interact and even merge with each other, while the institutional landscape is complemented by the responsible public bodies. In particular, in the case of the British Empire, something that is not trivial for the Greek case, namely that the institutional framework is mainly produced in the private sphere and is classified as official law by its adoption by the competent state institutions.
