The proper and effective functioning of an organization depends to a large extent on its human potential and how it interacts within it. The working environment is very important for a man if we realize that he spends more than half of his life in it. The purpose of this diploma thesis is to analyze and interpret the effective exercise of the leadership of an organization, to select the appropriate person for the realization of this purpose, and to analyze the relations between the leader and the members of the group. Initially we chose to interpret the concepts of effective management of an organization based on the rules that dictate the theory of organization and administration. We analyze in the depths all the theories that are relate to the exercise of leadership as they have been studied and interpreted by experts. Particular emphasis is pointed on identifying the elements that shape the personality of the appropriate leader for effective leadership. A question that still concerns the researchers of leadership, although very important studies have already described the profile of such a person. Moreover, we analyze how this leadership interacts with the organization's employees by shaping the working environment in which they operate. In closing, we chose Apple Inc., one of the world's leading technology companies, to see the implementation of these theories in practice. That is why we're analyzing the profile of the company's leader, Steve Jobs, trying to understand the secret of its success. Steve Jobs has been a real leader and inspirer with an appeal both to the business world and the general public. Unique personality with the basic assumption of innovation, has made Apple a giant in the sale of electronic products.
