TQM: Η περίπτωση των containerships και των λιμένων υποδοχής τους
This paper focuses on quality management and specifically the quality management in shipping and ports. The project is structured into 6 chapters. The first chapter focuses on the concept of quality, its dimensions and relationship with other authorities and the implementation of services. The second chapter manages and develops Total Quality Management (TQM) starting from the traditional model and the basic principles as well as their implementation and reaching the costs and benefits of application. The third chapter analyzes total quality control tools. Chapter 4 analyzes the TQM management and control systems and specific models ISO, EFTQM and ISSC, while the fifth chapter focuses on the implementation of TQM in shipping, analyzing the peculiarities and characteristics of shipping and the quality management in the field of ports. The sixth chapter develops the application of TQM in maritime containership companies and host ports, through four (4) case studies.
