Abstract

Theaimofthisthesisisthestudyofclinicalinvestigationscarriedoutmainlyinthe pharmaceutical market. The information collected is related to both, the domestic and global market. The reason for which pharmaceutical companies invest a huge amount of money in research and development is mainly because of the profit that comes out of it. Clinical studies in order to be effective and to yield positively go through various stages in which they need to be consistent with the legislative framework of the country. This may hinder some research and many investments result to be unprofitable. One of the objectives studied in this thesis concerns the cost of new drugs. The cost of drugs drugs varies according to the manufacturing process. In order to launch a new drug in the market, market it may require an immense amount of money over $ 800 million. The majority of drugs fail to complete the steps, either because they do not agree with the legal framework of the country, either because they are not effective. The drug pricing process is influenced by several factors as well as observed differences depending on the state.
