Do you believe that you are lucky just because you finally found a compatible graft? Probably this is only the beginning. Have you wondered why a homosexual cannot become a blood-donor? Does a patient deserved to be informed about his situation? After all which are the patient's rights and who protects them? Is there any respect of patient's religious, philosophical, ethical or political opinions and perceptions? Obligatory care and the religious freedom: Which law will predominate? Are medical errors made and why we are supposed to declare them? Being entrusted with the present postgraduate work titled "MORAL DILEMMAS AND MEDICAL DECISION MAKING IN THE FIELD OF BLOOD DONATION IN GREECE", the author has the chance to approach these dilemmas in a scientific way, to answer his personal questions and to enrich as far as possible the relative bibliography, concerning this great subject, such as bioethics in the sector of blood donation. With the progress of research it is realized that beyond the known dilemmas in the sector of blood donation, there are also other parameters unknown not only to the majority of people but also to specific scientific groups. This effort was not so easy, because moral, religious and philosophical dilemmas about blood donation are based on very old traditional perceptions, which have created serious objections. Because of this so specialized subject, it would ask the readers to lineated, especially those ones who insist on their objection concerning the scientific practice of blood donation.
