Nowadays, workers in hospitals face various problems, which are directly related to health and safety at work. The purpose of this study is to examine data which exist and are related to the health and safety of workers in hospitals, and how they can face and overcome the many risks involved, with the lean method. Concerning the theoretical approach of the subject, it focuses on security and risk at work, occupational risk assessment, specificities of healthcare industry, today’s reality and the laws in force. Furthermore, are examined, bibliographically and with case studies, the benefits from the lean method for the worker in order to deal with risks and for the patient as it provides better healthcare services.
