Abstract

Public Hospital, so as to assess the health services which they provide. The identical conditions under which they function have allowed us to compare their functionality and to seek reasons for any differentiations. Our project was carried out by analyzing indexes of assessment which are used in the health sector, through which an significant increase of the level of productivity in both clinics was observed. The comparison between the two showed that there was no significant difference between their functionality, while the differences which were observed in some of the values of the quantity and quality indexes which were analysed are possibly due to the different policy of treatment regarding cases which require the provision of in-patient health care and the policy which is followed for the management of beds. Although the efficiency of the clinics presented important improvement diachronically, suggestions are offered so that their developmental course is continued and functional characteristics are found which will offer new thrust and dynamic.
