In the current research we study the necessity of a private laboratory of nuclear medicine In-Vivo (with use of γ-camera). Nuclear medicine is a dynamic branch of medicine making a considerable use of technology. The diagnostic contribution of γ- camera is considerably important since it studies both functionally and morphologically the organs or parts of human body. For the completion of this work we carried out visit to hospitals and diagnostic centers, where the importance of the existence of laboratories of nuclear medicine was made clear. It was also pointed out that the demand of the services offered by these laboratories is continuously increasing since both the public and private centers are insufficient in numbers and with their current position do not correspond sufficiently to the existing demands. This laboratory is going to be located in the area of Anatoliki Attiki, a developing area with a steady growth of population and potentials in the area of transportation. However, this area lacks similar diagnostic centers. Such a laboratory will be fully equipped with high technology machines required for specific medical examinations and manned with highly qualified personnel. Contracts with various social security organizations and insurance companies will be contracted and every private patient will be accepted there. A thorough analysis of the laboratory shows that due to the low cost of the medical services from the social security organizations and the high cost required for it's running, the viability of this laboratory is marginal (very low profit). However, its running is possible because of the increasing demand ant the existence of a limited number of such laboratories. More specifically, the increase of additional activities as well as its function as a multidirectional health center will contribute to the development of this laboratory.
