The purpose of this study is to investigate the satisfaction of the, administrative staff at the General Hospital of Piraeus "Tzaneio", which mainly provides secondary and tertiary care in Attica, but mainly to residents of Piraeus and the nearest municipalities. The aim of this study is the measurement of the main factors affecting job satisfaction in a public hospital. The research mainly at investigating the psychological connection of employees to work and its environment. Specifically notes the general and professional characteristics of the administrative staff of the hospital (gender, age, educational level, years of service, economical status, etc.) and investigate the degree of professional satisfaction. It also identifies the factors that cause the feeling of satisfaction or dissatisfaction and lists the factors in the assessment of staff are sufficient incentives to improve job satisfaction. This research also aims to determine whether the staffs expectations of their choices of profession are verified or not. Also describes the professional relations between staff and public. It also highlights the extent to which job satisfaction affects differentiates staffs behavior towards the public, colleagues, family and efficiency at work and distinguish the size of stress and pressure felt by the employee during the performance of its duties. Finally, to record suggestions for improving the functionality of the hospital.
