Abstract
In an environment of health care were the needs of patients always increase and human and material resources decrease, nursing executives worry for the quality, the cost and the efficiency of Health services. This leads to the need for better development and strengthening of human and material resources and the grade of documentation to which those resources contribute in patient’s health care.
Continuous evolution of nursing technologies in addition to the weakness of stakeholders to follow this development and also the changes in labor conditions have caused incalculable blow to the sector and to the offered services to the patient. All of this could have been avoided if Health administration was applied. Unfortunately most nursing executives are asked to take over administrative tasks and positions of responsibility without having the knowledge or the organizational and management skills.
With this thesis we will refer to Health administration, its object, how it could operate and the reasons why it is needed. We will also refer to the function of the administration, the organization, the planning and the theories that frame the term of nursing administration. We will emphasize to the means of health administration with which we could benefit those who are engaged in management and those who receive its services.
Nursing Management is a basic tool of health care organizations and knowledge and skills required from healthcare professionals will assist to the upgrade of services from them.
This thesis will help us understand how health administration will benefit nursing as a profession, will also benefit nurses create a better working environment and will also provide better services to the patients.
