Abstract
This document is examining the principles and concepts underlying the World Trade Organization (WTO) in the international and greek maritime field. WTO counts more than 153 states- members, who in total move the proceedings in 90% of the international commerce and have influence in the international maritime policy. The purpose of this work contain the analysis of the main practices of this huge organization, such as anti- dumping measures, transportation of payloads, environment protection measures, safety in transportation in the maritime framework. Furthermore, we will be focused on the effectiveness of measures in labor matters and the conclusions we reached through real answers from greek shipping Ltds. The using method of this work is a combination between theoretical approach and practical strategy by sending a questionnaire in shipping companies.
