Longevity and mortality Indices are interwoven with longevity and mortality, respectively. In the present thesis, various tools for measuring mortality and longevity such as LifeMetrics are presented. The theoretical basis of LifeMetrics is also analysed. Afterwards the analytical methodologies of Lee-Carter, Renshaw Haberman, Currie, Cairns Blake & Dowd are presented, by which, the arising risk from the longevity and mortality can be better managed. Then these models are applied to specific data in the United States population for pricing insurance products. From the extracted results, the way each model affects these products is presented.
