Abstract
The purpose of this dissertation is to make a presentation of the Dry Cargo Shipbroking Offices which operate in Greece, analyze their corporate structure and their operational clues via a specific sample and quantitative evidence, deepen in the international Shipbroking environment and create a report which will present the Economic Value Added that emerges from the Greek Dry Cargo Shipbroking Offices for the Greek National Accounts. Main goal of this Thesis is to make a Field Research and make a thorough analysis about the Greek Dry Cargo Shipbroking Offices, by focusing in their type (exclusive, direct, competitive), their operations (charter parties, ships available for charter, human resources, age) and the percentage of their income which inflows to Greece. The whole above analysis is based in two parts; the theoretical and the quantitative. Both parts are supported by the sample of 32 Shipbroking Offices established in Greece and from other theoretical and empirical details.
