This paper presents the main forms of pollution that affecting the marine environment and focuses especially on the oil pollution. It examines the development of an international policy for the prevention and the protection of marine environment through the adoption of International Conventions and Protocols. The international frame that was created for the liability and the recovery by oil pollution has important gravity in the rehabilitation of damaging. The contribution of P&I Clubs in insurance coverage from naval accidents is big and is studied the extent of cover provided and the type of covered risks.
