Abstract
The majority of those participating in the maritime sector seek to estimate the characteristics of maritime cycles in terms of duration and period of time. In the light of the above estimation, decisions on investment, and risk management and assessment emerge. In such a capital intensive and liquefied market, the dept finance is one of the prevailing solutions. This assignment focuses on the presentation regarding the impact assessment of dept finance, as one of the main sources of funding shipping companies. Probably, this might lead to further research and improvement of the results that are due to be presented in this piece of work. Furthermore, some questions which may arise will lead to seek the answers as it was not feasible to obtain due to the constraints of an MSc dissertation in terms of time and word limit.
