Undoubtedly, modern international community is characterized by the multidimensional phenomenon of immigration. The conceptual approach of immigration and especially the realization of migratory decision’s reasons could shape the suitable inclusion’s policies of immigrants through educational system. Through studying the historic development of immigration, causes of immigration and international institutions could be more prominent. Particularly, greek case study constitutes a special case study, since Greece, was a Country of Origin and has been converted to a Host Country of immigrants and refugees.
In the second chapter of Master Thesis, the presentation of fundamental immigration theories, highlights specific factors of immigration, especially immigrants’ access in education, which could be characterized as social mobility’s mechanism. Accordingly, educational integration and consequently, policy making regarding immigrants’ inclusion through education are crucial. Integration models’ educational dimensions are constantly reshaping in order to respond to temporal challenges of social inclusion. In parallel, the comparative analysis of integration policies and also the analysis of greek model’s weaknesses could enhance its effectivity. For instance, a probable policy transfer in greek constitutional level, while maintaining european values, could contribute in immigrants’ inclusion in greek society.
According to concluding remarks, policy proposals could be categorized as politics aiming to combat timeless challenges of immigrants’ integration, as politics regarding Greek good practices’ development and thirdly, as policy transfer through European continent. The
development of Greek policies regarding immigrants’ integration through educational system, with the view of correspond to modern international community’s needs, could be fulfilled by shaping policies in order to face challenges. Accordingly, by establishing politics with the view of improve good practices and lastly policy transfer could shape holistic policies of immigrants’ integration in greek society.
