This bachelor thesis presents the design, implementation and evaluation of FinNous AI, an innovative personal finance management system that leverages the capabilities of Large Language Models. The application was developed to address the problem of financial illiteracy among young adults by providing an accessible and interactive tool for understanding and improving their financial situation.
The system was implemented using Python as the primary programming language, Flask as the web development framework and Google Gemini AI as the artificial intelligence engine. The system architecture follows the Model-View-Controller pattern, ensuring clear separation of concerns and facilitating code maintenance and extension.
Key features of the application include the ability to record and categorize transactions, define and track savings goals, generate analytical financial reports using artificial intelligence, and an interactive financial advisor that provides personalized advice. The integration of Google Gemini enables analysis of user financial data and the generation of practical suggestions that take into account each user's profile and goals.
The report analyzes the technological choices made, the challenges encountered during the development process and the solutions adopted. Particular emphasis is placed on system security, system limitations and directions for future extension and improvement.
