This thesis explores how Business Analytics and Big Data act as catalysts for strategic agility, specifically within the healthcare sector. In today’s volatile business landscape, where technological shifts and stakeholder demands are constant, an organization’s survival depends on one thing: its ability to pivot.
Far from being just "tech buzzwords," Big Data and Analytics are the backbone of modern digital transformation. By processing vast amounts of structured and unstructured information—using everything from descriptive to prescriptive modeling—companies can stop guessing and start knowing. Strategic agility is essentially about this: having the insight to reallocate resources on the fly and adjust strategies before market shifts become crises.
The stakes are even higher in healthcare. Between global pandemics and shifting demographics, healthcare systems are under immense pressure to be flexible. This study highlights how analytics can turn things around. Whether it’s analyzing electronic health records (EHRs) to improve patient care or using predictive models to manage hospital capacity, data allows for smarter, real-time decision-making.
In conclusion, the research demonstrates that Business Analytics and Big Data are more than just software; they are strategic assets. In the healthcare industry, leveraging these tools is the key to building resilient, efficient, and sustainable systems that can withstand the challenges of the future.
