This study investigates the role of Smart Ports in modern maritime logistics and explores how technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G, and Blockchain are transforming port operations. Smart ports enable automation, real-time data analytics, increased security, and enhanced environmental performance. The thesis presents real-world case studies from major global ports, highlighting key benefits including improved efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower operational costs, while also discussing challenges such as high implementation costs, cybersecurity risks, and system interoperability issues. Through a systematic PRISMA-based literature review, the study concludes that digital transformation is essential for achieving sustainable, efficient, and competitive port operations in the future.
