This paper examines child pornography and online child sexual abuse with an emphasis on livestreaming, highlighting the technological, forensic and legal dimensions of the phenomenon. Through international literature and European institutional frameworks, the modes of action of perpetrators, the forms of online exploitation and the difficulties of detecting crimes in real time are analyzed. European legislation is also examined, including the CSAM Regulation (2022) and the involvement of Europol. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of artificial intelligence to detect child sexual abuse material, as well as the ethical and legal dilemmas it entails. The paper proposes a multi-level, coordinated and ethically balanced way of addressing the problem, which integrates technology, legal guarantees and social awareness.
