This thesis explores the design and implementation of a virtual cybersecurity lab using the VirtualBox platform, aiming to simulate real-world attack and defense scenarios. The work begins with a presentation of the lab's structure, including virtual machines and network subnets, followed by a step-by-step guide to setup and configuration. Through targeted security tests, vulnerabilities are identified and various defensive strategies are examined for their effectiveness. The findings provide a critical evaluation of the lab’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as suggestions for future development and use in educational or research settings.
