| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία εξετάζει τις ελληνοτουρκικές σχέσεις κατά την περίοδο 1923–1930, δηλαδή αμέσως μετά την υπογραφή της Συνθήκης της Λωζάνης, μέσα από το πρίσμα του ελληνικού Τύπου. Η ανάλυση εστιάζει στη διαμόρφωση της κοινής γνώμης, την αποτύπωση της διπλωματικής προσέγγισης μεταξύ Ελλάδας και Τουρκίας, καθώς και τα βασικά γεγονότα που επηρέασαν τη διμερή σχέση. Μέσα από την αποδελτίωση και μελέτη άρθρων εφημερίδων της εποχής, εντοπίζονται οι αφηγήσεις και τα ρητορικά σχήματα που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν για να παρουσιαστεί η νέα γεωπολιτική πραγματικότητα. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δίνεται στη Συμφωνία Βενιζέλου–Ατατούρκ το 1930, ως σημείο καμπής στην προσπάθεια εξομάλυνσης των σχέσεων. Η εργασία φιλοδοξεί να συμβάλει στην κατανόηση του ρόλου των μέσων ενημέρωσης στην ερμηνεία και καταγραφή της ιστορίας, αλλά και στη μελέτη της πρώιμης ελληνοτουρκικής προσέγγισης σε ένα ευρύτερο ευρωπαϊκό πλαίσιο. | el |

| dc.description.abstractEN | This dissertation examines Greek-Turkish relations during the period 1923–1930, immediately following the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne, through the lens of the Greek press. The analysis focuses on the shaping of public opinion, the depiction of diplomatic rapprochement between Greece and Turkey, and the key events that influenced bilateral relations. By reviewing and analysing newspaper articles from that era, the study identifies the narratives and rhetorical patterns used to present the new geopolitical reality. Special emphasis is placed on the 1930 Venizelos–Atatürk Agreement, which marked a turning point in the effort to normalize relations. The dissertation aims to contribute to a better understanding of the role of the media in interpreting and recording history, as well as to the study of early Greek-Turkish rapprochement within a broader European context. | el |
