dc.description.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία, με τίτλο "Η Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη στην Υπηρεσία της Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης", εξετάζει τον ρόλο της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης ως εργαλείο προώθησης της περιβαλλοντικών, οικονομικών και κοινωνικών στόχων της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης. Αρχικά, τίθεται το θεωρητικό πλαίσιο τόσο για την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη όσο και για τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη, καλύπτοντας την ιστορική τους εξέλιξη, τις βασικές τεχνολογίες της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης και τους τρεις θεμελιώδεις πυλώνες της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης. Στη συνέχεια, η ανάλυση εστιάζει στη συμβολή της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης στην προώθηση της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης μέσω εφαρμογών της στο πλαίσιο των τριών βασικών διαστάσεών της βιωσιμότητας: της περιβαλλοντικής, της κοινωνικής και της οικονομικής. Εξετάζεται το πώς η ΤΝ μπορεί να ενισχύσει την αποδοτικότητα στη διαχείριση των φυσικών πόρων, να προωθήσει την κοινωνική ευημερία και να υποστηρίξει την οικονομική ανάπτυξη με τρόπο φιλικό προς το περιβάλλον. Τέλος, η εργασία εξετάζει τις προκλήσεις που προκύπτουν από τη χρήση της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης για τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη καθώς και μελλοντικές τάσεις που διαφαίνονται για αυτήν την ταχέως αναπτυσσόμενη τεχνολογία και τις εφαρμογές της στην προώθηση της βιωσιμότητας. Ταυτόχρονα, επισημαίνεται η ανάγκη για την ανάπτυξη ενός ισχυρού ρυθμιστικού πλαισίου που θα διασφαλίζει τη σωστή και υπεύθυνη αξιοποίηση αυτής της τεχνολογίας, προς όφελος της κοινωνίας και του περιβάλλοντος.	el

dc.description.abstractEN	This thesis, entitled "Artificial Intelligence at the Service of Sustainable Development", examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool to promote the environmental, economic and social goals of sustainable development. It begins by setting the theoretical framework for both AI and sustainable development, covering their historical evolution, the key AI technologies and the three fundamental pillars of sustainable development. The analysis then focuses on the contribution of AI in promoting sustainable development through its applications in the context of the three key dimensions of sustainability: environmental, social and economic. It explores how AI can enhance efficiency in natural resource management, promote social well-being and support economic growth in an environmentally friendly manner. Finally, the thesis examines the challenges arising from the use of artificial intelligence for sustainable development, as well as future trends emerging for this rapidly evolving technology and its applications in promoting sustainability. At the same time, the need for the development of a strong regulatory framework is highlighted, one that ensures the proper and responsible utilization of this technology for the benefit of society and the environment.	el
