Abstract

The concept of consent in personal data law is a fundamental issue governing modern data processing practices, particularly following the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This paper attempts to explore the legal meaning, application, challenges and consequences of consent as one of the legal bases for processing personal data, as defined in Article 6 of the GDPR.
