Abstract
The objective of this research was to examine, using a quantitative research method, whether community pharmacies have the capacity to serve as an enhanced foundation for primary care and the promotion of public health. The study specifically focused on the perspectives of pharmacists. Firstly, a preliminary literature review was carried out, followed by a quantitative research administered using a questionnaire, and finally finished with a statistical analysis of the collected data. According to the study findings, the community pharmacy in Greece has experienced notable growth in its responsibilities and function following the Covid 19 Pandemic. However, it still falls behind other nations. Based on the feedback from the pharmacists, it is evident that they hold a favourable outlook and firmly think that community pharmacies should have a greater role in delivering primary healthcare. However, they emphasize the need for more responsibilities and support from the government. Variables such business location, and number of staff were found to be influential factors in shaping pharmacists' attitudes regarding the shift of community pharmacies to a new function.
