The term ESG (Environment, Social Responsibility, Governance) is an important factor for business viability and sustainability. The insurance industry, as one of the key players of the economy has recognized the importance of environmental social and intergovernmental factors in its operation. In this report we will examine the relationship between ESG sustainability reporting in the insurance industry. The transition to a sustainability society requires cooperation and participation from all: governments, businesses civil society and individuals. Political decisions, innovations, technological developments and changes in our culture and habits are required. Investing in sustainability is an investment in the future, promoting a world that is more balanced, resilient and prosperous for all. The acronym ESG which stands for the triad of metrics used to measure and communicate the environmental, social and governance impacts of organizations has experienced a surge in popularity in recent years. Concerns related to the ESG framework have risen to the forefront of corporate agendas, mainly driven by financial institutions and investors actively seeking investment opportunities in socially responsible businesses. Insurance companies have the ability to create guarantees to reduce risks for their customers and contribute to the development of society and the promotion of sustainable development.
