Βιομηχανία μόδαςAbstract
Despite the attempt to present it as a mixture of shallow values that try to make people focus mainly on their appearance, the fashion industry is doing very well. It has reached the point of having a great influence on people's lives as well as on the economies of states.
The fashion industry however faces social and economic issues such as child labor or the economic recession which negatively affects the consumption of clothing items and especially luxury brands. It was greatly affected during the pandemic, as physical stores remained closed for quite a long time, industries stopped production to stop its spread, and things changed in many areas. It needed to make changes in order to survive and continue to be profitable in the post-COVID era and thus came its digital revolution.
Finally, the fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries and is in the planning of the Commission's strategy to tackle the risks of climate change. So, sustainability and the green economy are now in vogue.
