Corporate social responsibility as a means of promotion in private education schools

Corporate Social Responsibility is now a necessary tool for businesses and companies to
demonstrate that they are not only interested in profit and positive financial statements, but also in
the social and environmental impact of their actions on society. The main purpose of this work is
to initially define the concept of CSR and how it is applied internationally and in Greece and the
concept of private education and how companies cooperate with private schools in order to
promote Corporate Social Responsibility. The global, European, and Greek situation is analysed,
as well as the influence of the economic and environmental crises and the COVID-19 pandemic
as factors promoting CSR on these issues. In order to study this we take as a basis the bibliographic
material and answers from 6 different workers in private schools in Athens through interviews.The
results show that, there is a real connection between the two concepts and there are many examples
of good practices, which show that in the future the links between CSR and private Education will
become even closer and that the awareness of businesses and companies in social, environmental
issues and periods of crisis is required.
