This thesis deals with the ways of transporting Natural Gas, which are through pipelines and through LNG Carriers.
It discusses the importance of Natural Gas in modern societies, its role in global trade, and the investments made for its further development and utilization.
It analyses and compares the modes of transport of Natural Gas, examines Europe's geostrategy, existing and planned infrastructure such as LNG terminals and transmission pipelines. Reference is made to Europe's energy security.
The operation of pipeline and LNG tanker systems is described.
The advantages and disadvantages of the modes of transport of gas are mentioned, analyzing the economic characteristics of the two transport systems, and finally answering the question of which transport method is the most advantageous.
