In the present study, the role of a school principal in shaping the school climate, as well as how he manages internal crises based on his leadership style, are investigated. The quantitative study was adopted as a method, since the research sample was studied using a questionnaire as a tool, which was divided into five parts, concerning general information, the role and behavior of the director of a school unit, the decision-making process, as well as crisis management. Thus, the corresponding results were obtained, which were analyzed using appropriate programs for the design of the corresponding graphs. The conclusions of the research support that the principal's role is decisive in shaping a favorable school climate, while regardless of the leadership style and the role he plays each time, the principal of a school must be prepared to deal with and manage an internal crisis, motivating the other members of the school team and adapting the existing plan to the circumstances.
