The aim of this dissertation is chartering strategic analysis of Greek listed companies operating in dry bulk shipping.
Trying to understand the importance of this strategy for the shipping companies and with the use of financial ratios we examined their financial statements from 2011 to 2020.
We concluded that companies with high financial debt prefer time-charter contracts while companies with low financial debt do not necessarily choose voyage charter contracts since this decision depends on the company’s culture regarding risk exposure.
