Entertainment is a lucrative industry, with market success exemplifying the effectiveness of a business' marketing strategies. The comics industry, specifically in regards to brands of DC and Marvel Comics, is a prime example of a business success that comes from re-adjusting longterm goals and the promotional strategies used.
The analysis of comics, as a potentially successful industry, remains relatively unexplored. This article provides a detailed analysis of the evolution of the comics industry, mainly through the DC and Marvel Comics brands, as well as the strategies used to combat the threats that arose. The main purpose is to define the strategies that led to their success, as a guide to future entrepreneurs, while serving as an introduction to the comics and entertainment industry for future analysis. Through a literature review, it is concluded that entertainment contributes greatly to increasing finances and that the strategies used serve as important lessons for every entrepreneur.
