The present dissertation joins a vibrant conversation about the contribution of the promotion of the Greek language as part of the educational diplomacy in the context of the exercise of cultural diplomacy and specifically the feasibility of a single national body for the Greek language. Initially, is being set the general framework of the relations between education and cultural diplomacy about the term of Public Diplomacy, Cultural Diplomacy, Educational Diplomacy and Soft power are conceptually delimited as a component of the image and "branding" of nations. Then, through the citation of international practices and existing bodies for the promotion of national languages worldwide, we proceed to a comparative evaluation of the structures and goals of educational policies as part of the cultural diplomacy in different countries. Then, on the one hand, the actions of the Greek state educational and cultural diplomacy in the Greek Diaspora are presented in detail, and on the other hand, the presence of the Greek language and culture in the policies and actions of other countries. Finally, the proposed framework of action internally in Greece and abroad is analyzed through modern educational tools and innovative policies. From this perspective, the proposed organization serves the dissemination of our national language and through it the Greek culture in collaboration with other governmental and non-governmental organizations, in the context of Educational and Cultural Diplomacy as always subcategories of the broader concept of Public Diplomacy and by the standards of other over time successful organizations and institutes of other countries at European and international level.
