Abstract

The main purpose of this specific paper is to present concept of the Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, as well as the further explanation of their function. We will start with a reference to the main concepts surrounding the information systems and the categorizing of these systems. Thereafter, the procedure of the development of an information system will be explained. An extensive report will be made on the ERP systems, their market and the advantages and disadvantages of their utilization. In the part of this paper, we will analyze the software that PEARL S.M.S.A. is developing and the conclusions of this research will be presented.
