In this Master Thesis, a systematic review of Emotional Intelligence, Leadership and their impact in the field of human resource management was investigated. In particular, the first chapter presents Emotional Intelligence, its content, its main models and how to measure it. Then, the modern forms of management are presented as well as the bibliographic review of the theories of leadership. The third chapter highlights the combination of the two concepts mentioned above, with the assessment referred to in Goleman's leadership style, the attack on emotional intelligence in the workplace and satisfaction as well as organizational behavior. Finally, five leading personalities are mentioned who manage to apply emotional intelligence, to distinguish themselves and to promote their global market.
The task of the dissertation is to highlight the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace. The following questions therefore arise:
Does emotion have a place or not in the workplace?
What is emotional intelligence?
How many forms can leadership present?
Is the leader an emotionally intelligent person?
What are the emotional intelligence skills that affect a leader?
Is there a correlation between emotional intelligence and organizational behavior?
Through the answer to the above questions will be presented and investigated:
Its historical course, its models, its influence on leadership behavior
The evolution of leadership theories
The relationship developed between the two skills Implementation
Their application in human resource management from the perspective of the leader
Finally, to draw conclusions that lead to further improvement of the leader's emotional intelligence in modern organizations.
