Abstract
Social media play an important role in people's everyday lives. Internet enables users
to exchange information and communicate. This technological development has also
affected businesses. Nowadays, online marketing is a key pillar for business growth. In
the past, sales of products or services were made only through human interaction, as
promotion through a visual medium seemed an unrealistic scenario. The development
of technology has pushed more and more companies to enter the digital marketing
sector.
This thesis aims to present how the use of digital marketing can enhance the growth
of a business. The first part presents the theoretical analysis of the study according to
the literature sources. In the second part there is a detailed presentation of the company
‘Kyriakos Palios & SIA AEVE’, which uses digital media in order to promote its
products. In the third part, a detailed reference is made to the quantitative research
conducted on the use of digital marketing. This survey was based on an electronic
questionnaire sent to users through digital media. The findings of the research showed
that digital marketing is an important tool for businesses, as there are various
advantages that result from its use. Finally, it is necessary for companies to understand
the importance of these tools and to implement them
